Public Office Nominating Rules for CRP Endorsed Candidates

The proceedure for retaining or removing candidates of the Colorado Reform Party on the ballot should the Colorado Freedom Party acquire the ballot access due the official affiliate of the Reform Party shall follow the below rules and procedures, unless that person has already been endorsed by the Colorado Freedom Party. The process and rules are as follows:

  1. These candidates submit documentation as required by these rules no later than 15 days following transfer of ballot access from the Colorado Reform Party to the Colorado Freedom Party, should such and event occur, for the candidates from the Colorado Reform Party to the Colorado Freedom Party;
  2. These candidates submit to the executive committee a credit report and criminal-background report from the Colorado Bureau of Investigations;
  3. These candidates submit to the executive committee a written statement no longer than one page that explains their platform and its relation to the principles of Reform, and pledge to conduct themselves according to the principles of Reform;
  4. These candidates openly and enthusiastically support the presidential and vice presidential nominees of the Reform Party of the United States, Patrick J. Buchanan and Ezola Foster;
  5. These candidates meet the qualifications criteria of the Colorado Secretary of State, and the laws of the State of Colorado.

That upon certification by the nominations review committee of these criteria being met, that the executive committee shall, by majority vote, either retain on, or remove from, the ballot those persons who shall be offered for nomination.
